Waypoint runs 8-week seasonal online leagues and in-person tournaments in Madden, NBA 2K, EA FC, and Rocket League — with a safety model built for kids first. Players compete within their own age division and climb real standings all season.
How a season works
8 weeks · 3 divisionsEach season runs eight weeks. Players are placed into one of three age divisions from their date of birth, play scheduled matches against players in their own division, and move up a live leaderboard. Top finishers can be invited to Checkpoint Entertainment tournaments.
Junior
Ages 10–12Matched only with other Juniors. A guardian registers and manages the profile; no standalone login.
Teen
Ages 13–17Own login, but a parent/guardian provides contact and accepts the terms.
Adult
Ages 18+Full self-serve registration and play.

How we keep young players safe
Everything below is live in the platform today — not a roadmap. If it’s on this page, it’s already how Waypoint works.
A guardian is required for every minor
Players under 18 can't register alone. A parent or guardian provides their name, phone, and email, and that requirement is enforced on our servers — not just in the form.
Guardians accept the rules on their child's behalf
Registration for a minor isn't complete until a parent/guardian accepts the Terms of Service and Player Code of Conduct for them.
Every message is AI-moderated before it's delivered
In-game messages between players are screened by an AI moderation system on our servers on the way through. Anything flagged or blocked is held and routed to a human review queue — it never quietly reaches a child.
Age divisions are assigned from date of birth
A player's division is computed from their date of birth and can't be self-selected. A 10-year-old is placed with peers in the Junior division — never grouped or matched with adults.
Minors' real names are never shown publicly
On brackets, leaderboards, and profiles, players under 18 appear by a league handle only. Their real first name and gamertag are hidden from public view.
COPPA-conscious by design
Players under 13 are never issued a login. Instead, a guardian-owned child profile is created and the parent manages participation directly.
